2010 Mercedes E Class Coupe!!!

Caught by WCF reader "Nikolaus", these are the best shots yet of the new 2010 Mercedes E Class Coupe with nearly all its camouflage removed.

A rear diffuser and what seems to be a taped up AMG logo on the boot hood suggest this prototype could be the E63 AMG Coupe. But Mercedes' models from the AMG division all feature a quad exhaust layout whereas this prototype has the rectanglular twin exhausts mimicking the style seen on the recent leaked official photos of the regular E Class Sedan. The front end sports a grille featuring two horizontal bars, a style which differentiates this variant from thesedan and estate variants of the new E-Class line-up.

The engine range is likely to be shared with the rest of the E class range. That includes a 3.5 liter V6, a 5.4 liter V8 and an uprated 6.2 liter AMG V8. Diesels will likely also be on offer for the cabriolet, given how quiet they've become in recent years. Mercedes new generation of cleaner diesels expected in the cabriolet are: the 200, 220, 250 and 300 CDI, as well as the 350 BlueTec at the top of the range.

The E-Class Coupe will debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show alongside the sedan variant, the cabrio and AMG versions will follow later in the year in Frankfurt.

There is neither a roof nor a windscreen to separate the driver and passenger from the outside world; they enjoy unadulterated high-speed excitement with all the attributes of a speedster. The new SLR Stirling Moss is also characterised by the most sophisticated technology and a breathtaking design which reinterprets the SLR legend. With 478 kW/650 hp the SLR Stirling Moss accelerates its V8 supercharged engine from standstill to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 350 km/h - no other series-production car is at the same time so open and so fast. This extreme concept makes the new high-performance sports car a legitimate bearer of the name of the British motor racing legend and Mille Miglia record-holder Stirling Moss, who drove the legendary Mercedes-Benz SLR racing cars from victory to victory in 1955. The exclusive SLR Stirling Moss rounds off the current SLR family and is limited to 75 units. It is priced at 750,000 euros. The SLR Roadster will cease to be manufactured at the end of May 2009 as planned, and production of the SLR Stirling Moss will commence in June 2009.

Mercedes has released this year's holiday game called Ice Luge where players select a C63 AMG or SL63 AMG and then race it down a course in order to get the best time.

Controls are fairly simple as they consist of the gas, brake, and left / right steering inputs, but the game does have some challenging aspects. The total time is calculated by adding the lap time to any penalties that a player may have accumulated along the way. Failing to stop at the end of the track costs five seconds while hitting a wall tacks on three seconds each time and slows the car down during the race.

The game also has a feature that enables you to challenge your friends, making this a wonderful time waster for those slow days at the office.

AMG, the performance brand within Mercedes-Benz Cars, is establishing 175 new AMG Performance Centers worldwide by the end of next year thus offering a more personalized service to customers. A commitment to first-class service quality at every stage in the customer relationship is one of the key elements of the AMG brand promise of “Performance”. This focus on developing an even closer relationship with customers extends to a total of 15 countries. A very special brand experience is also delivered by the AMG Performance Roadshow.

The redesigned sales showrooms of the AMG Performance Centers are characterized by a consistently applied and unique AMG brand identity. Highquality materials, exclusive furnishings and a palette of colours that is representative of AMG create an exclusive atmosphere for sales discussions. An oversized AMG engine badge serves to remind visitors of the company’s philosophy of “One Man – One Engine”: The assembly of each powerful AMG engine by just one engineer. The individualization options available through the designo programme are also reflected at the AMG Performance Centers in the form of paintwork and leather samples.

2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS Prototype Spotted

Ladies and gentlemen, here, in all its cladded glory, is your first peek at the next-generation 2011 Mercedes CLS-Class. Although the front remains out of site in each of the pictures, the back and sides are all clearly visible, and they reveal... well, they don't reveal a whole lot. Like the current CLS, it's evident the 2011 CLS will retain its E-Class underpinnings, while a larger rear window is also visible. Other than that, however, it's still far too early to tell what lay in store for the next four-door coupe's styling.

Leaked! The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Just days after our spies uncovered an almost undisguised 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class prototype, images of the upcoming midsize sedan were leaked on a German news website. The photos, which appear to be mildly retouched media photography, clearly show the 2010 E-Class sedan in its entirety - just weeks before it is set to be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

As we saw in the earlier interior spy shots, we can see that the car has a decidedly more angular interior design to match its sharper exterior.

The E-Class loses its round headlights in favor of two-piece units similar in overall shape to the new single-piece lights on the new SL-Class. The next E-Class was previewed by Mercedes’ recentFascination Concept.

Because the new W212 E-Class is an entirely new car, it features a redesigned interior with new technologies and more room for passengers. New features include the latest generation COMAND interface, lane-departure warnings, an eye-movement monitor, traffic-sign identification, road-condition sensors, and stability control that accounts for crosswinds, camber changes, and tire wear.

The exterior design is expected to follow in the footsteps of the S-Class, and more recently, the new C-Class. So far, most of the design elements appear entirely predictable, although we’ll hold final judgment until the official unveiling at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Engine-wise, we’ll get the usual V6- and V8-engines, plus a normally aspirated, 500-plus-bhp 6.3-liter V8 for the E63 AMG model.
